Global FDI outlook is bright for New Core pillars

"China Tops U.S. as Favorite Investment Spot," by Christopher Langner, Wall Street Journal, 12 October 2004, p. A20.

This year's poll by A.T. Kearney finds global business leaders more bullish on foreign direct investments flows than any year since 1999, and that's great news.

Also fascinating is that China, which last year and for the first time in collective memory knocked the U.S. out of the top spot as the world's favorite target for FDI, is predicted to hold onto that spot for next year.

Even better is India jumping up the ranks to the number 3 spot just above Mexico. That means three out of the top four spots go to New Core powers, if this poll turns out to be as predictive as expected.
