Hear and watch Tom at Pop!Tech

Man, I've been waiting for this for 6 months! The Pop!Tech talks are finally up.

Here are the links to the .mp3 (audio) and .mov (video and audio) files. Right click on the links in the previous sentence and save to your computer. Then listen/watch.

There are, of course, many other worthy speakers on that page.

Enjoy!

Honestly, watching it just now, it's just an okay performance. I low-ball a lot of lines I usually deliver better versions of.

I wouldn't put it in my top 100, and that disappoints me some. I think I was--as often is the case--sleep deprived. At least that what watching the performance makes me think.

I know most people don't spot these flaws, but that's what makes me good at this. You have to be relentlessly self-critical. Missed notes grate, poor phrasing infuriates, dropped lines disappoint.

I cannot stand giving anything but an all-pistons-firing-type performance. The audience is almost irrelevant. It's simply how I feel as I perform.

Some decent off-hand remarks though, even as I regret the Mark Foley-related bit (way too dating).

I did look heavy too. That shirt is not flattering, and I was about as big as I've ever been right then, just having gotten finally moved into the new house.

brilliant as always. i dont get tired from this presentation. The Creative commons license in the end adds value to it too.
