Forgetting Iran is a nice argument

We debate Israel's preferred war instead of preparing ourselves for a far more likely intervention scenario.

Pakistan has been a perfect host for the Salafist virus , but it is essentially an Indo - asiatic caste based culture , not a conservative
- nomadic culture that could lends itself to a Taleban style takeover.
It just will not happen. The landowners, The Army , Civil service and political classes have fashioned a country that cannot support the populace with jobs. That has left some ordinary folk unable to care for all their children...hence the practice of leaving children at a madrassa.
But the above power structures are like four elephants in a room
.Theres room for the religious mouse with loudspeaker , but that mouse is never taking over.
