I could also be a look of who is going to fight in the next war. Or rather who is going to supply the next war?

More statistics. The percentage of official UN peacekeeping personnel these countries contributed is shown below - as at May 2007. For comparison, the percentage of global spending on the military is in brackets.

1. United States peacekeepers 0.4% (46% of global spending); 2. Britain 0.4% (5%); France 2.5% (5%); China 2.2% (4%); Japan 0.1% (4%); Germany 1.1% (3%); Russia 0.4% (3%); Italy 3.1% (3%); Saudi Arabia ? (3%); India 11.2% (2%).
