'Soft kill' doesn't mean 'passive'

POST: Say NO to Job Security for Ahmadinejad

Great piece by Lex. The soft kill isn't about being passive, just non-kinetic.

And he's right on Ahmadinejad's "job security." The wrong war could make him very powerful indeed as a solution to the mullahs' flagging control. We don't want to simply trade theocratic autocracy for civilian autocracy. We want to exploit Iran's decay, it's need for FDI, the intense hunger of its people for outside connectivity, and Asia's rising economic presence to crack that nut for good.

Read the 11 July 2007 WSJ editorial titled, "What Iranians Really Think" for a good perspective from the populace in Iran.

we should support the Iranian people for the right reasons.they like
any other nationalities want what technology has to offer to betterment & improve thier lives and also have freedom and independence,in that sence they are proamercian or west.but we
have to define what soft kill is.if it is about getting ride of this regime
and replace it with one so it can fullfill our interests ,somebody like the shah, and other puppets,it won't work.Iranians have been trying for 100 years to achieve their goals for democracy, and guess what, the main reason that has prevented that, is been the foreign interfering in their affairs. The Iranian society is again coming up for another big social change and the people once again are trying to pursue their100 years quest for social justices. now is this what
America wants this time around ,or it will like before support the wrong person again.we can't keep talking about bringing democracy,
and keep supporting the wrong peoples .True democracy in Iran will
affect the whole middle east.but unfortunetly i have doubts that, that
is what US goverments wants. you just have to only look at New Orelns and see that they can't even rebuilt in the core, how are they
gonna do nation building else where.
