Managing China's AscentRealists insist the U.S. and China are slated for military conflict in the decades ahead. America cannot peacefully accommodate China's rise because it subverts our role as the world's lone superpower.

The hard-copy version will appear in the issue that comes out early next week. China will be the cover, so should be easy to spot.

One-off request from new editor James Pethokoukis, who reads the blog and has corresponded with me on and off for quite a while.
It was very neat to be asked. My joy as grand strategist is that there are so many subjects I can tackle. I would go nuts being just "the X guy" they always get to write "the X article."
