I get a lot of reprint requests every month, but here's two that came in yesterday that were out of the ordinary.
One is from the Department of Transportation to post the "Sea-Traffic Control" piece (it will go up on a site later this month when the paper issue is completely "out").
A second is from an assistant secretary of State to use the PNM map in a briefing.
The USG is actually very respectful in that way, always asking permission, which is nice, because that way you can track penetration and usage of concepts.

The Trade Secrets Act (18 U.S.C. 1905), which is one of the few statutes imposing personal criminal liability on government employees for improperly disclosing trade secrets (and which can cover copyright infringement) is one of the major reasons for that politeness. That said, the USG generally plays by the IP rules.
