A sad situation for Giuliani

OP-ED: Giuliani's War, By Richard Cohen, Washington Post, October 23, 2007; Page A19

He paints himself into an idiotic corner thanks to Podhoretz.

He truly disappoints in his choice of advisers here. Bad sign for any administration.

the stradegy of the republican is to sound tough to make the democrats (specially hillary) look soft on foriegn policy.historically the republicans have made more deals with the mullahs.in fact Reagen was the one who send Bush father to ask them to wait till he
has won the election before releasing the hostages, and later the Iran-contra deal.right now the mullah's destiny and the US interest in
Iraq is tied together,so go figure. they are going to make alot of noises on both sides, while dealing and wheeling.

Documentation please.

Myth != Facts. Conspiracy Theories != Facts.

Giuliani is just being himself, though that is sad. Expecting him to be someone else at this point isn't realistic. It would have been a major change for him to choose smart and competent advisers.

We can't elect presidents based on how they will grow (or grow up) in office. They are pretty much done deals by the time they reach that stage. Edwards and Obama might be exceptions, but the rest of the field looks pretty set in their ways.
