McCaffrey is great

POST: General McCaffrey Iraq AAR, Small Wars Journal, December 19, 2007

Great bit from McCaffrey. Very encouraging and easy to read. He remains the single great source, in my mind (and most others).

There is much hope in my circles that he'd get a suitable cabinet spot in any Dem administration--possibly Homeland, possibly better.

I'd be happy to have him in a Rep. position too. ;) Maybe DoEE?

Is it my imagination, or was he pretty well screwed by his appointment to Drug Czar? I don't see a guy who could write this appreciating an appointment to a political position pretending to run an unwinnable war:P

I agree . He'd be a great President or V.P.
I don'y care if he's a Democrat or Republican. He is for Victory in Iraq and not defeat.

Brad B, something went wrong with your link. Here's the full report link: http://www.smallwarsjournal.com/documents/iraqaardec2007.pdf
