Harnessing the Shiia revival

ARTICLE: A Frail Economy Raises Pressure on Iran’s Rulers, By MICHAEL SLACKMAN, New York Times, February 3, 2008

The Shiia Revival actually causes Iran to overstretch. The smart move is to let that play out, while being firm but open to talks, and let the Iranians come to the right conclusion.

Wrong way is to threaten war and delay that internal conversation by overly elevating Ahmadinejad.

the funny and common thing about the mullahs and the US policies to
the region is that they are both fonny.mullahs pretend to fighting the
great satan, and Bush is sposetly fighting for democracy, but at the same time, since the birth of the Islamic Republic Government, they in
addition to Israel, been making deals secretly with each other. i highly
recommend to read Trita Parsi's book the Treachherous Alliance, which expose these dealings in detailes . of course, Parsi is a pragmatist, and acadamist, a protege of Francis Fukayama (who in turn was a student of Samuel Huntington)but nevertheless it is very
informing.the reality is even right now,the economic santions for Iran
,in my oppinion is a excuse (deal) for the mullahs to futhur crush the
true Iranian movement . the problem with the realists,is that they accexpt the reality as the truth, where as to find the truth you have to dig down and get to the roots, and change the reality. you can't have democracy(parictory) any where without indepence, and without
these two you can't have social justice(the purpose of democracy).
that is why Bush democracy is fonny because he supports all undemocratic Governs in the regions.you can't make deals with these Governments and get democracy, unless it is something else that you want.

Those are lucky, but curious mistakes? Is something afoot Watson?
