Getting over the cold/throat infection nicely. Assuming no more cold snaps, hopefully no more viruses sweeping the house. Bad to have a high schooler, junior high schooler, grade schooler and preschooler in same household. Even the cats were sneezing last week!
Today I got up and cranked through 3 sections of Chapter 10 (allegedly my technology chapter, but really more about networks in general).
Added 157 words to the first section I wrote yesterday, then cranked 2291, 2623 and then 1881 over the next three sections, giving me 6952 for the day. All felt pretty good, like I was really in command. Tired right at the very end--last paragraph. Other than that, felt solid throughout. Got it all done by 1630, so off for some baseball practice with one son and a run with other.
Total manuscript now stands at 145,116.

Could be worse: your oldest could decide to go to college locally and live at home. Combine that with your next adopted child, and you could have a pre-schooler, elementary schooler, Jr High schooler, Sr High schooler and college student in the same house all bringing colds home.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled panic attack.

I have considered this scenario.
The good news: we move back east in a couple of years probably and oldest goes to school nearby but not tooo close. Plus, last adopted child likely to be a bit older.

I see. Have you discussed these plans with your eldest, or were you planning on present him (her? I'm forgetting the exact order) with luggage for his HS graduation?
