ARTICLE: Taliban wants cell phone networks shut down at night, By Jacqui Cheng, ars technica, February 25, 2008
Classic bit: Taliban wants cells to work when they need them for business, but not at night when young people want to use them to virtually date.

I saw this same article awhile back as well - seems like this move is aimed at informants as much as anything...

Probably old news, but pretty evident by today that the Taliban, who move a lot at night, want shutdown so they can communicate while on the move without being monitored. Shutting down informant to handler calls probably also a goal. The boy/girl stuff probably thrown in to keep the anthros and HTT's busy. Now, they're blowing up microwave towers, probably using other means of commo.
