Reread the Part III intro again this morning and it wasn't as bad as I remember writing it. I tried to read it aloud late yesterday, and my evening version of the sinus infection was kicking in, making me more stupid by the minute, so I had a hard time reading and figured it was the text's fault, not mine.
Still, even this morning it read somewhat clunky, but I think there's a salvageable text in there.
Today I dove into Chapter Seven, and worked my way through 3 of the 7 steps I'll be using in each of the six realignment chapters. They went about 1,100, then about 2,700 and the last one about 2,800 for a total of 6792.
I aim to do the last four sections in 5-6,000 words tomorrow, although my pattern so far indicates I'm being optimistic.
This stuff was fairly easy because I've written on China a lot and I've got a number of great economic books to work off of in this chapter, so material galore. I can already see how I'll explain Enterra's potential much better, something I previewed today in a conference call with Steve and others.
Anyway, got as far as I could in sinus infection recovery mode. Couldn't write til 1000, but went solid, with one hour-long interruption, til 2000.
Total manuscript length now 93,371.
I admit I'm thinking about adding back that one chapter I was thinking of cutting at the end. I keep collecting good material on it, so I am mightily tempted. Warren will say, Write it and let me decide!
