I stuck in my thumb, and pulled out a short introduction to Part III

Had teed up everything for Chapter 7 on the economic realignment. Had my books all Fortran'd and lined up and I typed out the section headers and then started a brief introduction using this one map of the United States . . . and 2,708 words later I had an introduction to Part III, something I just got done saying I wasn't going to write because I didn't bother penning one for Part II.

Guess it just had to be.

Not sure how good it is. I'm feeling not so hot from a ear-sinus infection combo, so maybe I just wasted a day on pre-writing.

Anyway, until Mark cuts it I count it, giving the original manuscript 86,579 words total as of tonight.

I start the economics chapter for real tomorrow, determined to knock it out by Tuesday night.
