Nice moves

ARTICLE: Corps Plans Humanitarian Task Forces, By Bryant Jordan, Military.com, March 21, 2008

More moves in the direction of the SysAdmin force/function, dovetailing the Marines nicely with the Navy.

It's interesting to read the discussions that accompany the articles on military.com.

From commenter Tecombiah at military.com re: this article: "The US military presence in any country rendering humanitarian assistance will cut down on our enemies rate, hostilities, etc."

From Cdr of a U.S. Army unit in Vietnam: "We realized that the reason for the attacks on the village (and village's ultimate demise) was simply because we were there. Without us, the V.C. had no interest in the village."
