Neat piece by Ignatius that's painfully honest. I always cringe when I see mag covers announcing some "New Cold War!"

Again, another good example of how out of synch we are with the world right now. That's why I'd take Obama and let him play up instead of having to dial down McCain all the time. Plus we've seen what "second acts" got us with W., so I'm not eager for the Clinton crowd's return.

I think this is the money comment right here:

"Imagine the television footage of Barack Obama's first trip abroad as president -- the crowds in the streets of Moscow, Cairo, Nairobi, Shanghai, Paris, Islamabad."

That's powerful stuff.
