I agree. I heard a rumor, though, that he IS getting involved in a water dispute between his state (and California) and mine (Colorado). If that's true, then I have to wonder how much of his stance on this other issue is simple miscalculation.

There is more here than meets the eye. Where was McCain's support for Lugar's bill? The fact remains though Obama voted in favor, and I strongly disagreed with his vote but Iowa goes first.

McCain told Iowans he'd shut down Guantanamo. He doesn't want to now though.

It bothers me immensely to hear Obama (disclaimer: i'm not decided yet, but leaning towards obama) speak about improving America's image in the world and then talk about supporting a policy which makes any Doha round negotiations pretty much impossible to successfully conclude; especially since the greatest way to bring more countries into the core is through economic interdependence.
