Fascinating bit on recognizing a stroke

Sent to me by relative.

Three questions to ask anyone whom you suspect may be suffering a stroke:

1) Ask the individual to SMILE. (crooked is tip off, as one side does not respond)

2) Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS. (typically one side will be paralyzed)

3) Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE. (won't be able to muster this)

As the population ages and we live more and more among elders, this sort of info is akin to knowing how to do CPR. Remember, and maybe save a life.
